Branch

In Linnaean-based taxonomy, Branch represents a rank higher than infrakingdom but lower than subkingdom. The Protostomia and Deuterostomia for example are considered Branches of the Subkingdom Bilateria (see for example the Taxonomicon ref). Alternatively, the Radiata and Bilateria can be considered Branches of the Subkingdom Eumetazoa(Wikipedia ref).
