Bryophyta
From Palaeos
The name Bryophyta is associated with non-vascular land plants, particularly with mosses. There are three extant classes of non-vasular plants - Hepaticae (liverworts), Musci (mosses) and Anthocerotae (hornworts). Relationships between these three classes and the vascular plants are still subject to debate, and "Bryophyta" has been used to refer to all three classes together, mosses and either of the other two classes, or mosses alone. An appropriate phylogenetic usage of "Bryophyta" would be to include all taxa closer to mosses than to vascular plants, i.e. closer to Bryum than to Magnolia.
