The Eoarchean is a geological era spanning from 3.8-3.6 Bya, preceding the Paleoarchean and followed the Hadean eon. In the Eoarchean the first supercontinent Vaalbaria formed around 3.6 Bya. The first species of stromatolites and the first unicellular organisms also appeared during this time.
