Goniatitina

The Goniatitina comprises Upper (Late) Paleozoic ammonoids primitively characterized by a bifid ventral lobe and an undivided ventral lobe. The number of superfamilies varies according to classification, but the number is around 17, here in general stratigraphic order, beginning with the earliest.
