The Late Cretaceous is the second and final epoch of the Cretaceous period. It saw the final flowering of the non-avian dinosaurs and many of the most famous dinosaurian genera belong here, eg., Tyrannosaurus, Velociraptor, and Triceratops. It is also the time when angiosperms come to dominate terrestrial vegetation
