Superfamily Parathuramminacea
Parathuramminacea, the oldest and most primitive superfamily in the Fusulinina, characterized by a globular, elongate, or irregular unilocular test, or one composed of a series or cluster of such chambers. Lower Silurian to Permian. Divided into the following families:
- Archaesphaeridae,
- Parathuramminidae,
- Chrysothuramminidae,
- Ivanovellidae,
- Marginaridae,
- Auroriidae,
- Usloniidae,
- Eovolutinidae,
- Tuberitinidae.
