:According to Rougier ''et al.'' (1998), the borhyaenids (which phylogenetically include the thylacosmilids) are stem metatherians, outside the marsupial crown. I've put up the appropriate tree on the page for [[Boreosphenida]].[[User:Christopher|Christopher]] 05:05, 20 August 2008 (PDT)
